To
contact DCT about inquiries, email Jami Montgomery at
jamimonty@gmail.com.
I will ask that you
send the first chapter or the first 5,000 words (whichever is shorter)
of your manuscript and a pitch that includes your word count, genre, and category as well as 1-3 page synopsis. I will edit the first chapter
and then email it back to you. If you are pleased with the way I edit,
then I ask for half the payment when you send the full manuscript, and the rest when I finish.
*Disclaimer* If
the novel does not interest me, I will not be able to edit it. I can't
force myself to read something of a genre that I don't read or don't
find interesting. You wouldn't ask a History buff to edit a Math
textbook. It works the same way for novel editors.
